If you would like the chance to work with a diverse, enthusiastic and vibrant group of people, volunteering for the Community Cup is for you! It is a major goal for the Catholic Immigration Center to meet and exceed your expectations as a volunteer. To get involved with the Community Cup, you can start by taking these steps:
- Download an application form (PDF) and deliver it to 219 Argyle St, suite 516 (Dan Dubeau).
- Complete application form online
- Send us an email to volunteers@communitycup.ca to express your interest and we will follow up
On-going Volunteer options in the include:
- Be a General Program Volunteer (as needed, share your skills, random or sporatic opportunities)
- Lead a Corporate Challenge - get your workplace (colleagues) involved and challenge a group of 10 newcomers to a match of ____.
- Join a Tag team: A match between a Newcomer, a student, and an expert (someone with experience) to take on timelimited community projects
- If you are a Newcomer, we can match you to a community event planning team - we will also give you some relevant and appropriate training a no cost.
- Join the Ottawa Community Cup Event Planning Team
Volunteer at the Event (June 24th) - options include:
- Host/Hostess greeters and engagers
- Safety and Security
- Logistics
- Set-up and Take Down
- Kids Zone
- Green Team and Waste support
- Entertainment and Stage support
- Food and Refreshments Services
